ELLIS, Fern Glover - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Fern G. Ellis, 83, of 120 S. Grant Ave., died Wednesday evening in Culver Hospital. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Women's Relief Corps, American War Mothers, Pythian Sisters and Firefighters Auxiliary. Born Jan. 4, 1891 at Hillsboro, she was a daughter of Oscar and Ella Kellogg Glover. She married Herbert Ellis Feb. 8, 1913. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Glover L. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Gayle E. Higgs of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Laird of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Walter Raisor of Brownsburg; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A grandson preceded her in death. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard F. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.
